Knock Out AIDS 2008
Charity dodgeball tournament raises $1,300 for HIV/AIDS
On Friday, June 6, 2008, over 130 people played dodgeball to Knock Out AIDS. The charity dodgeball tournament held at Gladstone Secondary School was co-hosted by the Vancouver Dodgeball League and proved to be a great success. "Playing dodgeball really does save lives." A total of $1,300 was raised to support the Canadian Red Cross and its HIV/AIDS programs in sub-Saharan Africa.
The winning team of the tournament was Tricks are for Kids. Prizes were also awarded to Just Dodge It for Best Costumes, and Balls to the Walls for Most Spirit.
