Volunteer Locally

You don't need to go overseas to help people living with HIV/AIDS. You can make a difference in the lives of people living in your very own backyard. Below is a list of local organizations that you can contact to find out more about volunteering.

One Day For AIDS
Contact us if you would like to be kept updated on how you can help with the 2007 One Day For AIDS campaign. Check out our Calendar of Events.

Mennonite Central Committee
MCC coordinates a support group for those living with HIV/AIDS in Abbotsford, BC. The program also provides educational resources and referrals to services. Contact to inquire about volunteering with MCC's HIV/AIDS programs in British Columbia.

In many countries, dedicated volunteers care for people with AIDS. But many do not have supplies to bandage patients' sores, soothe irritated skin or relieve pain. You can help them by filling an AIDS care kit. Get details on how to put together an AIDS care kit.

Volunteer Abroad

One of the easiest things you can do to help people living with HIV/AIDS overseas is to give to reputable organizations that are already doing great work. There are also opportunities to get involved directly with agencies on the ground doing HIV/AIDS and development work. Please contact them directly if you are interested.
